The tapes directory contains dumps of IBM 1130 tapes. The pictures directory contains pictures of the tapes. The zip files of the same name contain the contents of those two directories for easy downloading. In the tapes director The .tap files are dumps of the tapes in SIMH format documented in http://simh.trailing-edge.com/docs/simh_magtape.pdf The .label files are information from the tape labels and what could determined about the tape contents The .info files are information on the .tap files The raw directories are the raw bytes of each file on the tape The ascii directories are the files converted from EBCDIC to ASCII. Binary files are also converted but aren't going to be to useful. The source code for the .tap file extractor is in the ibm_extract directory.
