If a .info file is present then then reverse checksums were found on the
tape.  This may indicate that blocks were written in the reverse direction
or that the reverse checksum was not cleared before it was written in the
forward direction.

If a .err file is present the tape had read errors

Tape image is 18 bits in low portion of 32 bit words
