[BITS 8 THRU 6 FORM A 3 BIT CODE FOR THE OPERATION-SEE BELOW,
[BITS 5 THRU 0 MAY REPRESENT THE NUMBER OF REPETITIONS OF THE OPERATION -FOR CODES 0 AND 1- OR AN INDEX REGISTER, 1 THRU 16, POINTING TO THE ADDRESS OF THE OPERAND. IF THIS INDEX REGISTER IS 0 OR 17 IT IS ASSUMED THE OPERAND IS THE CONTENTS OF THE ACCUMULATOR WHEN THE OUTPUT PACKAGE WAS FIRST ENTERED.
