This is a PDP-8 external bus and data break flat coax interface cable. They were used to connect peripherals to the PDP-8, PDP-8/S, and PDP-8/I. A shielded mylar ( 51K) cable was also available. Only one switch between the two types was allowed. A round coax cable was also used but I don't have an example of it.
For the programmed I/O Bus on this cable type the maximum length of all the daisy chained cabling connecting peripherals was 50 feet. For the data break interface the maximum length was 30 feet.
This type of cable is pretty stiff so can be somewhat unwieldy when you have 11 cables into the DF32 and 6 going out to the next programmed I/O peripheral. The cost in 1970 for a 6 foot cable was $92
