Since the printing terminal died I used my laptop as the console also displayed on the big screen. Looks like demoing the storage feature of the Tektronix 611 monitor. The bright spot is where it was drawing. The dimmer is the stored waveform. With storage off all you see is the bright spot. Drawing lines between the sample points improves waveform visibility but without storage too slow to be useful.
